last thursday night was a rockin' good time at dooly's. considering i went with a couple of former band geeks and some teachers from my high school. long story short i partied hard with a lot of random people that i haven't seen in years. and i got invited to two parties, neither of which i could attend due to the aforementioned grand falls weekend. but that ended up being not too bad.

i went to the movies with liam friday night. then we remembered that garth was going to be in town, so we kidnapped him from dooly's and ended up at mcdonalds. it was just like high school all over again. (especially considering the only difference between then and now is the fact that we go to bars instead of tim hortons)

sanne arrives tomorrow night and i have to be in stinky old saint john. boo. then, i start work on monday, double boo. and of course, i don't really have a place to live yet. sooooo....things are kinda spastastic right now. but hopefully, things will calm down in a week or so. i've had a couple of leads, so i'm not super worried yet. deep breaths -- aaahhhh.....

ok, so i'm an idiot. i almost took the bus to grand falls this weekend -- and would have if not for a fluke phone conversation -- thinking that i had rehersal, when in fact the rehersal is next weekend. i haven't felt quite that spastic in awhile.

i start work on june 2, so i've mostly been relaxing the past couple of weeks. last night i finished enumerating (for the upcoming provincial election) and now all i have left to do is go over the edits and make sure all the info is a-ok. it's a pretty sweet deal if you think about it -- you go to everyone's house in your poll, so if you do your own neighbourhood then you get to see when everybody lives. but sometimes it's kind of sad, cause you come across lonely old people, and girls whose boyfriends knock them around. anywho, you get paid a base fee, a training fee AND fifty-eight cents per name on the voters list. and all of the work is done within a week.

my room is almost finished. i did A LOT of laundry yesterday, so there aren't as many random piles of clothing on my floor. i've got all of the furniture where i think it's going to go (but it still looks kinda weird - maybe cause i'm not used to it yet?). now i just have to sort through all of the crap i brought home from school. i probably could have left it in storage after all. sigh. oh well!

sunday was one of those absolutely gorgeous nights when the heat stays and there is just a slight breeze. i walked down town and sat by the water for awhile. it was nice. some young guns in a truck yelled "coffee stunts your growth, mam". that kinda threw me for a loop. mostly cause it reminded me of me and my boys back in the day.

that's probably enough for now. my weekend wasn't as spectacular as it could have been, but i didn have fun with some old friends, and visited almost every bar in town in one night. fun times in woodstock.

for awhile last night i was happy with my family and almost sad that i wasn't going to be here all summer. then my nut ball sister and mother ganged up on me for this wonderful reason -- when my sister and i were at a bar and i didn't make sure that she was included in the conversation i was having. and people don't understand why i don't always enjoy hanging out with my sister! see, i thought i was being nice by taking her with me. it's not like i met up with people there and left her out, i ran into people that we both knew (completely by coincidence). and i didn't realize that i was supposed to make sure that she had someone to talk to in case i talked to someone else. let me tell ya, the bitchitude was off the scale.

hello all.

x2 was awesome. and i say that as someone who is not obsessive about comic books or movies, basically just your average person off the street. very enjoyable. although it would probably be helpful if you see the first x-men movie to get some background. i had seen it, so i can't really say how easy it is to follow if you haven't.

i have a job interview today in fredericton. i've called al about a million times and never got ahold of him so i guess i won't stop by. i think mum is going to come with me, because i'm not entirely sure of where it is i'm going. i have an idea of where the general vicinity of the place is, but i sometimes get nervous driving downtown. i know i'll get over it eventually, but today i'm nervous enough what with the interview that i don't want to worry about it.

sad to say that that's pretty much it. i've got to get out more.

ok. so my life as of late has not been all that exciting. i ate some kfc the other day. delivered may baskets. i was so disappointed -- you guys might know that may 1st is my all time favourite day of the year, and i get an untold amount of joy from delivering said may baskets. however, yesterday it was rainy. and let me tell ya, tissue paper and water ain't a pretty combination. so i kept my baskets to a minimum, only actually delivering 3. i'm down a lot this year. i've taken my sister to wicklow, my mum to the mall, and delivered my dad's mail. i called some people in fredericton and it was very depressing so i don't want to talk about it. wrote some emails to some people.....um, that's pretty much it. today i'm going to carry some more of my stuff upstairs and see if i can actually unpack anything. then maybe i'll scrapbook or something.

i'm not bored, but i bet you were reading that.
