Tuesday, May 28, 2002 ( 6:52 PM ) bibleeofilee i'm getting pretty slack at updates, but you know, i'm going to pass off the blame to.....my computer. it's stupid, stupid, stupid. but anywho, we'll just have to deal until i start work, and then i'll use the computer there. jodie called me tonight, woo-hoo! i was very excited to hear from her. hopefully i'll be seeing her within the month, but time will tell. got a letter AND a phone call from liam. i was over the moon, i'm not ashamed to admit it. i think it's the first time the guy has called me in two years. not really, i'm exagerating a titch, but you get what i'm sayin. got a postcard from thom the next day, i was really happy about that too. i'm really reaching here for things to say....ummm...opinions are like belly buttons - everyone has one. that is all. # Monday, May 20, 2002 ( 7:33 AM ) bibleeofilee you know all those neat buttons? turns out they are letters! it's been a long time, i know. i'm a bad, bad girl for letting you down. (obscure sheryl crow reference, anyone?) speaking of sheryl crow, the new album rocks. it comes highly recommended by me. so yeah, denmark. what to say, where to start. i've already talked lots about coppenhagen. by the way, i did get to go to christiania. it was really weird, i've never seen so much marijuana and hash in the same place in my entire life. went to legoland, it was cool but it could have been better. i guess in the beginning it was more lego stuff, but now it has more theme park stuff, like rides. guess it has to compete with euro disney, amongst many other amusement parks in denmark. there are quite a few for such a small country. i saw danish pop sensation ras in the odense mcdonalds. he was there with his entourage. made my day, let me tell ya. i used my tax-back money to buy beer at the duty free in the coppenhagen airport. i guess it's hard to talk about everything that i did, there's just so much. but at least i gave you a little taste... catch you on the flip side. # Saturday, May 04, 2002 ( 7:51 AM ) bibleeofilee i don't really have a lot of time here, just wanted to let you all know that i was completely wasted last night, started speaking french on a bus (!) and talked a lot about how potatos are my favourite thing. yup, trashed. hey, look at the neat buttons on this keyboard: æ ø å ¤ §. i wonder what they mean. are they letters? that is all. # Friday, May 03, 2002 ( 1:05 AM ) bibleeofilee dudes, i'm in denmark! hella cool, let me tell ya. i've only been here a couple of days, but already i know that it's one of the coolest countries ever. and coppenhagen, the capital, is awesome. i'm still trying to get sanne to come with me to christiana (the hippy district). there is a street called pusher street where they sit at tables along the side and sell drugs - how cool is that! i guess we aren't tough enough to hang out down there. we'll see about that.... iit only took me like, 22 hours to get here. 7 of that was spent at an airport in montreal. i was scared the guy next to me on my trans atlantic flight was going to get drunk. right away the guy orders two gin and tonics, then drinks a bottle of wine with the meal. not a big one, but one of those cute little airplane size bottles. and they even have these tiny little cans of heiniken beer! the movie was crap (the muskeeter) but the view was amazing. i got to see where the north sea meets holland, when the sun set, and when it came up. it was just like a commercial. and over quebec i could see the lights of the towns down below, like on my desktop. ' people here drink anywhere, anytime. for example, today is the last day of school for seniors, so they got up at 6am, got on the train to go to some guys house, and started drinking. they kept offering me beer, but it just seems wrong to start drinking before breakfast. so all i've really seen so far is the sights around coppenhagen, which, mentioned previously, is a kick ass city. next week i'm going to the planetarium, lego land, and my cruise to norway. ii guess that's all for now. the crazy danes are doing some kind of show now. did i mention i'm dressed like a sperm today? yeah, all the senior classes dress up like something, and sanne's class decided today i had to dress up to. i'm bringing the suit home, and i'll show it to you guys when i get back. later dudes. # |
